Determined.

October 7, 2013 - The 30-day challenge starts. I promise myself to go out for a morning run every monday, wednesday and friday and hopefully, swim on sundays. Plus I googled an ab exercise guide to be done everyday. I wanna share it with you, ta-da! 

This is not to torture my body just to get abs but I just want to have a healthier shape. When people do exercise, it doesn't necessarily mean there's so much desperation to have sexy body. Sometimes, it becomes a need. We need to be physically fit and live healthy.

Day 1 - checked!

I woke up at 4:30 AM.

I jog 2km in the first day and did 15 sit-ups, 5 crunches, 5 leg raises and 10s plank. 

Hard work + Determination = Success :)

Summer 2k13

It's been a while since my last post so I decided to make a blog out of my wonderful summer this year. Being with awesome people makes my summer extra special and like no other. It all started when our batch decided to go to the beach. Beach View Resort to be exact. I think this has been an annual occasion and is expected. I have always been having fun when they're around. 

That was my first beach getaway for summer 2k13. I thought it would took me so long to have another outing but it turned out wrong. The day after tomorrow, I was invited by my boyfie to go to the beach. Again. But this time, with his cousins and brothers. He wouldn't take no for an answer so yes! I went with them. Same location but overnight.

A week after that outing, twas about the middle of April, my sister and I were so bored and so we decide to go swimming. We found out there is a pool nearby our subdivision. Just a 10 minute drive from our house. We went there with my mom and her friends.

The place was clean and very peaceful. This is located at Las Palmas Verdes. We can stop by here whenever we feel like it. Nice and cool place! 

Summer is on its climax! It would be so incomplete without going to Samal Island. So we went to Playa Azalea with my mother and friends. 

And here comes the month of May!! No more beach outing for me now! You know why? It's beacuse I have committed myself to dance this year for Groovestylz under Allianz. We practiced every night for the upcoming show and I have no time for get-together.  All the time and efforts are paid off the day we performed at Cap Auditorium last May 26. It was an amazing experience for me since its my first time. The show was a blast!

But the dance concert was just a consolation prize, the jackpot was meeting new people, having friends and knowing them. Our bonding was strengthen through sportsfest and teambuilding. Twas at Rainbow Breeze, Samal Island. We get the chance to finally knew each other more and share common passion, dancing!  To be part of Allianz was priceless. To be part of the community was a blessing. They're like my family now.

I think this was the best part of my summer! 

I have said enough. I know. So I'll end this up.

Hello June! Hello school! 

When boredom slaps you!

Just now, I decided to open my blogger acct and make a quick post. Its been months? Or a year I think that I haven't posted. I've tried getting used to this but I really can't manage my time. And then, here comes the boredom. Finally! It made me realized why not spend my unproductive-bored-as-hell almost afternoon to check my blog. Tadaaa! I had fun though. So, I swear to myself to keep track of my blog this summer and be productive! *crossfingers

Summer 2012

May has already melted. I still haven't posted anything concrete about summer 2012. Despite the class, I can still feel the anticipation of summer in my nerves. It has been a tradition to not miss the scorching heat and fun during this season. There's so much to mention about what had actually happened during my summer. It started in the last week of March. All my tita and tito went home from Japan to attend my tita's wedding. My sister is the maid of honor and yours truly, one of the bridesmaid with my cousins.

On the next day, we went to Pearl Farm, Samal Island. What's summer without going to the beach, right?

Next stop. Davao Oriental. Bonhomie Leisure and Resort \m/

 

I've got to jam with their band there :) I miss singing haha.

I'm still hoping I can go to the beach one more time before another school year starts. It feels totally different when you are in college. Summer's not the same like I had before. But at least I had fun with my family! That's more important to me.

 

Summer Class

Summer has always been my favorite season ever. But this time, its different. I enrolled summer class with only one subject, 5 units. Zoology. I go to school mondays til' wednesdays 9-12am lecture and 1:30-7:30pm laboratory (some says I'm lucky enough to that). Ugh such a lazy sched! Then, I've got to realize I am a college student now. It's totally different.

On the brighter side, I enjoy being in the class with my girls and classmates plus one of the best teacher I've known. He's very humorous, open-minded and easy-to-be-with kind of person.

What's more exciting about the class is by the time we dissect CAT! I thought, we couldn't survive dissecting it but t'was fun and we didn't expect the turn out.

Seventeen ♡

I know it's been weeks but I decided to still post about my memorable birthday last Jan 31. This is the very first birthday that I didn't have a party. Well, some say it's too old to have one. But the main reason was I just wanted it to be simple - celebrate it with loved ones. I really felt extra special that day. Though how simple it was, it left me so grateful til' the last minute of the day!

What's funny about this is that it's a chocolate and for your info, I don't eat one! (weird? but seriously) But I really appreciate it. We ate this together at Space Burger for lunch.

 After eating, we watched 'My Cactus Heart' for an hour and half. I had so much fun with these three lovely ladies which I often see everyday at school. I love these girls!

At 6pm, I went to GMall to meet my best buddies, Ryan and Ela. Unfortunately, Abe, Nichele and Nicole couldn't make it that day. To those who didn't know yet, they are my best friends and we'vw been together since grade school. Cool right?

After eating with them, I went to Abreeza with my parents  who came to Davao from Tagum to visit me on my special day. We ate at Hukad. We're like having triple date (lol) mama and papa, ate and his boyfie, Chad and of course the celebrant and my one and only mu ♥

Butterfly-Inspired Debut

My dream debut - A Butterfly-Inspired. Since I so love butterflies, I want it to be the theme. I know it's kinda dramatic but it can be both refreshing and memorable at the same time. Aside from the fact that I love butterflies, I just think a debutante is just like a butterfly, it undergo changes in life. Caterpillar:Butterfly,Child:Woman. All grown up and ready to take on the world with a beautiful wings to reach her dreams.

Make butterfly an inspiration to a perfect gown.

Have butterflies release on a grand entrance.

Emphasize the theme by creating paper butterflies tied to nylon threads and hang it on the ceiling.  It would look like actual butterflies are flying all around the venue. A garden would be a lovely place to held the party.

For the invitation letter, the cake and the giveaways, I want it to be in a butterfly shape. Plus, I want to hire a body painter that will paint butterflies on the body part of the guest choice so they can take pictures on a butterfly inspired backdrop.

That's it! Dramatic yet memorable. A debut that would embody what a butterfly signify - life, love and happiness.

Like the flowing river

       Finally! I've reached its last page.  This was the first book I read as of 2012. I always thought of it as boring. No offense. But when I finished reading it, I found it interesting. It's all about the life of Paulo Coelho. It is full of reflections and life lessons- how we face storms in our lives, how we turn our backs to the who saves us, how we encounter life both on its happiest moments to our downfalls and many more. 

The Story of the Pencil. This was one of the many reflective part of the book. It was summarize into five qualities: (1) You are capable of great things but you must never forget that there is a guiding hand, God. (2) Now and then, we use sharpener. That makes a pencil suffer a little afterwards  it's much sharper. So you too must learn to bear pain, because they will make you a better person. (3) The pencil always allow us to use an eraser to rub out our mistakes. This means correcting. (4) What really matter in a pencil is not the wooden exterior, but the graphite inside. Always pay  attention to what is happening inside of you. (5) It always leave a mark. Everything you do leaves a mark so try to be conscious of every action.

     

I hope to have more time reading books. Its a good habit.

Hello Butterfly Cookie,

          Welcome to the world of people who ceaselessly speak out their minds!

           Blogging just popped out my mind this year and I don't know why. Seriously, I'm not into blogs but reading 'em feels fun and inspiring. It all started when I've got to read my best friend's blog mydearela.She's really good bout this kind of stuff. So proud of her! ;) Plus, having inspired with few of the many fashion bloggers, I felt the urge to pursue blogging! (but I'm not saying I'm gonna be a fashion blogger too) We'll see[?]
